Dr Junn Yeong (John) Ng (BDS Otago 2017) – Principal dentist

Junn is a hardworking Malaysian who grew up in Dunedin. After passing scholarship papers in Physics and Chemistry, he graduated from the University of Otago with the Peter Milne Prize for Anatomy and the Leask Memorial Prize in Removable Prosthodontics. With plenty of support from life-long friends, family and faculty members, Junn successfully trained to become an ambidextrous clinician.

While making a positive difference in Otago and Southland, Junn graduated from the Southland Institute of Technology in Joinery/Allied Trades Level 3 and volunteered in the construction of Southern Charity Hospital.

Serendipitously, he discovered the beautiful Kerikeri, and was given the chance to carry on Dr Jones’ clinic and provide dental care to the community including LGBTQ.

While Junn advocates for preventive dentistry to reduce the long-term treatment costs, he enjoys restoring smiles and carrying out surgical procedures. Junn is currently attending and completing the Australasian Implant Academy fellowships in implants.

When not in the clinic, Junn dedicates his time to his family.
